For licenses issued or renewed prior to January 1, 2007, producers are required to obtain 48 continuing education hours every 4 years. As part of the requirement, 6 of the 48 hours must be related to insurance Ethics and Fraud. As of January 1, 2007, New Jersey has adopted new licensing laws. All producers licensed after January 1, 2007 or licenses renewed on or after January 1, 2007 will be issued for a two year license term. Producers are required to obtain 24 continuing education hours every 2 years. As part of the requirement 3 of the 24 hours must be related to insurance Ethics. Also if you sell Flood insurance, you are required to obtain 3 continuing education hours on Flood insurance. NOTICE: Under the new two year license regulation you are no longer required to take continuing education credits in your line of authority. Any courses will be acceptable. PROPERTY AND CASUALTY PRE-LICENSING The Property and Casualty insurance course will prepare an individual for the New Jersey exam and a professional career in insurance. The new regulation requires 20 hours of classroom instruction for each line of authority. At ARC we believe competent insurance professionals need to learn more than just the State minimum requirements that are being taught by some other licensing schools. Accordingly our courses exceed the minimum requirements and we are also including additional review classes. Property and Casualty includes Commercial and Personal Lines. LIFE PRE-LICENSING The Life insurance course will prepare an individual for the New Jersey life insurance exam. This license authority will allow sale of life contract and annuities. Once again, ARC course exceeds the minimum requirements for same reason as stated above. HEALTH PRE-LICENSING The Health insurance course will prepare an individual for the New Jersey health insurance exam. This license authority will allow for the sale of Hospital and Medical Expense policies, Disability Income, Long Term Care and any other policies defined as health insurance. ARC course exceeds the minimum requirements for same reason as stated above. COMBINED LIFE & HEALTH PRE-LICENSING This combined course will prepare an individual for the New Jersey Life and Health insurance exams. This license authority will allow for sale of all produces listed in above Life and Health licensing.
