Arch Sewing Machine Company was founded in 1957 by John Orlando. A sewing machine mechanic by trade, John started Arch Sewing in his basement rebuilding sewing machines. Initially, Arch Sewing was located on the street it was named after – Arch Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania– the heart of the local sewing industry. Here Arch earned it's reputation as being the place to go to purchase your sewing machines and parts. The place to get an honest and fair deal. A tradition that continues to this day.
