Michael J. Minarovic Managing Director Petroleum Engineer Since Arena Energy’s inception in 1999, Mr. Minarovic has managed the company’s business operations and is chiefly responsible for raising over $375 million of debt and equity financing. As a Managing Director of Arena Energy, Mr. Minarovic’s responsibilities include reservoir engineering, risk management, and opportunity generation. Prior to co-founding Arena Energy, Mr. Minarovic served as a Petroleum Engineer with Newfield Exploration Company where he was a key member of the offshore acquisition team and played an important role in the start-up of the company’s first onshore effort in south Louisiana. Mr. Minarovic began his career in Lafayette, Louisiana as a Petroleum Engineer with Conoco Incorporated, after earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1987. Todd L. Stone Managing Director Geologist Todd L. Stone has served as Managing Director and Geologist since co-founding Arena Energy in 1999. As a Managing Director, his responsibilities include opportunity generation; management of the opportunity generating staff and its tools; and maintaining, managing, and high grading the Company’s robust prospect inventory. Mr. Stone and the staff of Arena have focused their careers on the pursuit of exploitation and exploration drilling potential on the Gulf of Mexico shelf. During Arena’s history, Mr. Stone participated in a three man geological group which has drilled over 140 wells. Prior to co-founding Arena, Mr. Stone was a key member of Newfield Exploration’s offshore acquisition and development team where he became proficient in 3D seismic based detailed field studies and the recognition of remaining commercial drilling potential within Gulf of Mexico properties. Mr. Stone also served as a Geological Engineer for Amerada Hess Corporation after beginning his career with Tenneco Oil Company. Mr. Stone received a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Engineering from Michigan Technological University in 1985. Don A. Metz Chief Geologist Don A. Metz joined Arena Energy in April 2002. Mr. Metz’s responsibilities include generation of exploration and development opportunities, identification and evaluation of acquisition opportunities, and the screening and evaluation of third party prospects in the Gulf of Mexico. In addition, Mr. Metz works closely with the drilling department to design wells to optimally develop potential reserves and with the production and reservoir engineers to efficiently produce the reserves. While at Arena, as a team with two other geologists and two reservoir engineers, many potential drilling targets have been identified and evaluated. To date those targets have resulted in the drilling of over 140 wells with a success ratio of over ninety percent. Previously, Mr. Metz was employed by Newfield Exploration Company, Delmar Operating, and Westland Oil Development Corporation. Mr. Metz has over 30 years of experience as a Geologist. During his career, he has been responsible for drilling numerous wells onshore in South Louisiana, Upper Texas Gulf Coast, East Texas, West Texas, and for the last 15 years in the Gulf of Mexico. Mr. Metz received a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Louisiana Tech University in 1979. Steve S. Robertson Geophysicist Steve S. Robertson joined Arena Energy in January 2008. Mr. Robertson utilizes amplitude versus offset (AVO) techniques for de-risking Arena prospects. These seismic technologies include conditioning of pre-stack seismic data which is used for the calculation of attributes that can indicate the presence of hydrocarbons. Mr. Robertson also generates exploration and development prospects. Previously, Mr. Robertson worked for Bois d’Arc Energy from 2004 to 2008 where he held the position of AVO specialist and prospect generator. Prior to Bois d’Arc, Mr. Robertson worked for Newfield Exploration from 1997 to 2004 where he also worked as a prospect generator in Central Shelf Gulf of Mexico. He also worked for Shell Oil Company from 1981 to 1997 as a seismic processor and interpreter in the Rocky Mountain region and the Gulf of Mexico. His achievements included leading a special projects team which corrected long wavelength statics problems related to acquisition in rugged terrain and remapping Bullwinkle field for a successful redevelopment program. Mr. Robertson received a Bachelor of Science degree in Planetary Science from Christian Heritage College in 1976, a Master of Science in Physics from UT El Paso in 1978, and completed doctoral studies at USC and UC Santa Barbara. Robert M. Black Geophysicist Robert M. Black joined Arena Energy in June 2009. His responsibilities include generation of exploration and development opportunities throughout the Gulf of Mexico Shelf in addition to evaluating potential acquisitions and participation in a variety of opportunities. Previously, Mr. Black held the position of Geophysicist with Energy Partners from 2005 to 2009. Prior to joining Energy Partners, Mr. Black worked for Vastar then BP from 2000 to 2005 performing in a wide variety of roles from field studies and development work to deep gas exploration mostly on the Gulf of Mexico Shelf. He has extensive experience working the Gulf Coast and Gulf of Mexico basin. Mr. Black received a Bachelor of Science degree in Geophysical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines in 1999.
