The History of Arlington First Church of the Nazarene: Arlington First Church of the Nazarene's first site of worship was in a tent in October 1942. Lloyd McCoy pastored this little congregation from 1942 until 1944. He was followed by M.L. Patton in 1944. Rev. Patton led the church until 1946. From 1946 to 1947 Charles Montandon pastored this church. Leroy Land was the next pastor called of God. He remained until 1949. Richard H. Thompson, whom we are privileged to have with us today, pastored Arlington First Church of the Nazarene from 1949 to 1950.
