Bob and Lesa Barton opened the store in 1984, based on the belief there was a need for a well-stocked retail mining supply store with the goal of helping miners buy what they need. They accomplished that goal by building a store with a reputation unequalled in the industry. In April of 2006, Lesa was diagnosed with cancer and soon after we purchased the store to allow Bob and Lesa to spend her remaining time together. Lesa passed away on September 6, 2006 and will never be forgotten. Filling Bob and Lesa's shoes is not easy. Having over twenty years of various mining experience in both placer and hard rock mining has helped though. Having spent several years "dredging for a living" helps us understand the pitfalls that fellow miners may encounter. We strive to offer good advice on buying the right equipment for each customer's needs and budget whether it is a complete gold dredging setup or parts for the "Do-It-Yourselfer".
