Aronson & Associates, P.A. is the oldest and largest immigration law firm in this part of the country, having been established in 1977. At present, we are the 23rd largest immigration practice group in the United States based on the number of attorneys and legal professionals. In any given year, we provide immigration legal services to foreign nationals drawn from roughly 90 countries worldwide, and on average, we maintain active, open files in roughly 45 different states.

We seek to provide the highest level of substantive legal advice. As a firm, we focus exclusively on immigration law and even within this area, most of our work concerns immigration based upon employment. We serve corporate clients located throughout the United States, and our primary interface is generally with HR representatives and/or in-house counsel. We have a duty to provide the most current, insightful legal analysis, and to explain thoroughly to our clientele the background reasoning to our legal opinions.

This program was established to provide an opportunity for Permanent Residence to foreign nationals from certain (largely, but not exclusively, European) countries whose immigration eligibility was curtailed under a wide-ranging immigration law passed in 1965. There are 55,000 immigrant visa numbers available under this Program, and each year literally millions of individuals apply under a Lottery Program administered by the U.S. Department of State.

In partial reflection of our involvement on multiple levels in the immigration process, the firm maintains the Aronson & Associates Immigration Law Firm Fund, which provides funding support to projects administered by non-profit agencies providing acculturation and resettlement services to immigrants and refugees.

The H-1B visa classification was established by Congress for foreign nationals who will be employed temporarily in a "specialty occupation." This is defined as an occupation that requires the theoretical and practical application of a body of highly specialized knowledge and the attainment of a Bachelors or higher degree in the specific specialty (or its equivalent) as a minimum for entry into the occupation in the United States.
