About Artisans In 1963, Orlo and Bernice Dukerschein sold their dairy operation in the small town of Glen Flora, Wisconsin, and became pioneers in a new industry called screen-printing. Although the industry was in its infancy, the Dukerscheins knew early on where they wanted their new company to go, and what they wanted to achieve. Their first production team was made up of eight people – themselves and their six children. Early products included t-shirts, sweatshirts, ribbons, buttons, emblems, decals, bumper stickers, banners and cow boards.
