P Carter Carpin is an artist and designer who has been creating whimsical art for the young at heart for over 25 years. She studied Product and Textile design at Parsons School of Design in NY where she was a standout student creating unique one of a kind textiles by combining a variety of techniques. While still at Parsons, her portfolio landed her an internship at Jack Lenor Larson. After Parsons, she sold original designs through Design Works International and was the Senior Designer at Hot Sox/Polo Ralph Lauren Hosiery for many years. She left NY to return to her hometown of Richmond VA where she launched the magical world of SERIOUS WHIMSEY offering art and home furnishings for the children and gift markets.
