Artspace is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation founded in 1980. Our mixed-use projects incorporate affordable housing and commercial spaces such as artist studios, galleries, small retail shops and offices for nonprofits and small businesses.

Artspace's mixed-use projects incorporate affordable housing and commercial spaces such as artist studios, galleries, offices for nonprofits and small retail shops. Artspace projects are catalysts for revitalizing the neighborhood and spurring further positive development. The projects also create synergy among adjacent artists, nonprofit agencies and residents.

Artspace buildings offer affordable space ideal for artist studios, nonprofit and small business offices, and retail spaces. Our unique and versatile commercial units are available in a variety of sizes, with tenants ranging from producers of salsas and spreads to photography studios and neighborhood markets. We currently have 19 nonprofit organizations, as well as numerous small business start-ups, operating out of Artspace buildings. Our commercial spaces are designed to facilitate collaboration and programming efficiencies among artists and tenants.
