Description
Laura Asbell, PhD, provides a powerful, transformational approach to the problems faced by individuals, relatinoships, and organizations. Application of her postmodern model can lead to a richer, more sophisticated level of thought and behavior—effecting real change in ease and well-being. Dr Asbell is active in the professional community. She is past president of the Washington State Psychological Association and continues to be active in this organization. Currently she is Chair of the Ethics and Professional Standards Committee. She also is a member of the Consulting Professionals Network, the American Psychological Association, the Idaho Psychological Association, and the Society of Consulting Psychology. She is a Clinical Associate with the University of Washington School of Medicine, and she is currently collaborating on a research project on leadership with the Intercollegiate College of Nursing, Eastern State Hospital, and Gonzaga University. Dr Asbell is involved locally with business groups such as the Inland Northwest Business Alliance and the Inland Northwest chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners. Dr Asbell frequently speaks on a variety of clinical and organizational topics. Most recently she spoke for Leadership Connections, an event sponsored by Gonzaga University, Leadership Spokane, and Whitworth College, on Bullies at Work
