Treatment Facility Digester, Aeration Basin, Solids Handling, Flow Equalization, Final Filtration and Disinfection Improvements Start Date: Fall 2006 Completion Date: Fall 2008 Contractor: RN Civil Construction , Centennial, CO Engineer: JVA Consulting Engineers , Boulder, CO In the last couple of years during the peak tourist season, it has been noticed at the wastewater treatment facility that there have been some degree of difficulty in the way that the plant could handle the organic load in the wastewater stream. Due to these issues, the District decided that it would hire an engineering firm to perform a new Comprehensive Performance Evaluation (CPE) on the wastewater treatment facility. The last CPE was performed on 1997. After the CPE was completed, it was found that the current treatment facility was under capacity to handle the organic loads during peak flows to the plant. The new CPE identified the following necessary upgrades:
