Byron McCurdy - CEO • An active operations leader, overseeing all client relations and quality control aspects of Aspen. Byron has a distinguished background as a business owner, professional business consultant, accountant, mediator, and a founding leader in the PEO industry. With Byron’s 28 years of experience from accounting to ownership in the PEO and medical industries, he has been instrumental in passing of both federal and state legislation. Byron also served on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee, as well as the President of the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations. He has also served on the boards of publicly-traded and privately-held companies. Paul G. Szilagyi CPA, Minority Owner and Advisor • Still an engaged partner in the business, Paul is a Boulder, Colorado based entrepreneur with interest in clean energy, advanced technology and service organizations. He is the founder and managing director of an energy mining company with extensive properties in the Uravan Mineral Belt in southwest Colorado, Utah and New Mexico. Paul also owns an advanced automotive technology company that powers a fleet of hybrid vehicles in Denver, Colorado that carry over 65,000 passengers daily. Paul began his career with Touche Ross & Company (now Deloitte and Touche) in Detroit, Michigan. He received his BS cum laude from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo in accountancy with minors in business and mathematics. He has been a CPA since 1980. Paul was awarded one of President Bush’s “Points of Light” for his Twelve Together dropout program serving at-risk youth as an officer of a Detroit youth agency.
