An Associate General Counsel works closely with the General Counsel to analyze the legal implications of proposed legislation and advise members of the Assembly Democratic Caucus on legal issues. Mrs. Azam serves as the Democratic Aide to the Assembly Budget, Health and Senior Services and Commerce and Economic Development committees. Mishael Azam grew up in North Brunswick, New Jersey. While attending law school at Boston University, Mrs. Azam participated in the Legislation Clinic as a bill drafter, editor, project manager and editor-in-chief. She also served as president of the South Asian American Law Students Association. Mrs. Azam's past experience includes working for two of Philadelphia
