Welcome to the American Taekwondo Association (ATA). Our family includes more than 250,000 men, women, and children training in SONGAHM Taekwondo. There are more than 900 schools and clubs across the United States. The ATA was originally established in 1969 in Omaha, Nebraska. Today National and International operations are directed from our headquarters in Little Rock, Arkansas.The ATA is the founding organization of other international affiliates that include the World Traditional Taekwondo Union (WTTU), and The SONGAHM Federation (STF). These branches include some 16 countries, offering instruction to more than 30,000 students.Grand Master Haeng Ung Lee was born on July 20, 1936 in Manchuria, China. He was one of the original pioneers that brought martial arts to America.
