Within 18 months, my wife and I lost three (3) parents. We learned from a consumer advocate that consumers could buy caskets direct and save up to 50% from Funeral Home prices. We did a great amount of research and finally found an out-of-state casket store. In all, we bought three (3) caskets and saved thousands of dollars compared to funeral home prices. We thought about the countless other families who are not aware that they can purchase their caskets direct and save sometimes thousands of dollars on the price of one casket. Most families are not aware that the federal government gives them the right and an option to choose their casket from whomever they choose. The funeral home must accept their casket and cannot charge a handling fee or change their pricing. Read the laws about the funeral industry.Families deserve an alternative. We began the process of opening a casket store to serve the Metro Atlanta area and to help our community save during their time of bereavement.
