Description

Founded in 1981, ATVG is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(4) public interest organization representing the 201 counties plus the incorporated towns or cities in each of the 201 counties in the seven-state region of the Tennessee Valley. The Association serves local governments in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.

The Association of Tennessee Valley Governments (ATVG) is an advocate for TVA and the local governments that reside in the Tennessee Valley region. Founded in 1981, ATVG is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(4) public interest organization. We advance the interests of our members at the national, regional, and state levels, using our strong, collective voice to work on a nonpartisan basis for solutions to critical issues that affect us all.
