Bright Beginnings Preschool focuses on the individual child, and provides an educational environment that stimulates and nurtures each child’s unique growth potential. We provide numerous exciting and engaging thematic units throughout the year, allowing your child to freely explore and grow in important skill development areas, including: large and fine motor, language and literacy, science and math, art and music. Your child’s social and emotional development is of prime importance.

Welcome to the Recreation and Community Services Department. It is our mission to provide community services and life-long learning opportunities through recreation, education, and fitness programs to enhance the quality of life for residents of the Shorewood community. We accomplish this through a wide variety of programming that includes enrichment and fitness classes for children, families, adults and seniors; a community fitness center, Bright Beginnings Preschool, an aquatics program, special community programming, facilities rental and more.

The School District of Shorewood strives to provide academic and extra-curricular programming in areas that promote high achievement and performance to meet community expectations. We seek to develop students who are critical thinkers, problem solvers, and empathic listeners who advocate for their opinion, exhibit strong positive character, and who are engaged in the world around them.
