Audio-Chroma Recording was the brainchild of Kevin Leadford, principal engineer for Lithonia Lighting. In late 1996 after careful research of acoustical design and construction, Kevin began his quest to build the perfect acoustical space. To create this space, it was indeed time to find the right recording equipment to capture what would to be created at Audio-Chroma Recording. Kevin contacted his friend and fellow drummer Matt Cunningham to assist him with selecting the recording equipment. During this process the two aspiring engineers visited several local studios and enrolled in recording seminars to gain more knowledge of the recording process. After painstakingly selecting equipment, and writing a business plan, it was off to the bank. Once the financing was secured, construction began in late spring of 1997.
