Audio Research is one of the oldest continually operating manufacturers in American audio. The company was founded in 1970 in Minneapolis with one goal in mind: to advance the state-of-the-art in music reproduction. Today, Audio Research remains a performance-oriented company by philosophy and design. With the award-winning Reference Phono 2 reigning at the top, and the superb PH6 anchoring our lineup with a more affordable price, we are pleased to introduce the PH8 phono preamplifier. The PH8 benefits from a number of circuit and parts improvements derived from the award-winning REF Phono 2. Rather than using the four 6922s of its predecessor, the PH8 uses two 6H30 tubes along with special low-noise FETs; vacuum tube regulation incorporates a 6550 and a 6H30, as featured in the REF Phono 2 and REF5.

The DSi200 is our first product in the "Definition Series" showcasing a new technology that offers extremely high performance and value. Based on an advanced new design created entirely from the ground up by our engineering team, the DSi200 is built in-house by our own craftspeople. The Definition Series of amplifiers represents an unusual type of "solid-state hybrid" design in which a massive, highly regulated, linear analog power supply is combined with a truly "green" discrete analog switching-MOSFET output stage for highly efficient power conversion and low power consumption.

The experience begins with the intuitive graphic interface, guiding the user easily through input selection and the appropriate menus to begin music playback. With nine different ways to connect, plus a built-in internet radio tuner, virtually all digital sources in your system are connectable to the Reference DAC. Inputs providing metadata will allow track and album information to be displayed. All functions are controllable with the included remote or from the available iOS/Android smartphone or tablet apps.

The Reference 10 follows a new aesthetic path as well. It has a very modern and elegant finish that will attract new admirers without alienating fans of our older products. The front panel of the main control unit has a new, large round volume knob on the right side, with two buttons under it for Power and Mute-the only two buttons on the unit-and a large display on the left. Our logo is above the knob on the right, making this the first asymmetrical Audio Research preamplifier ever.
