Audubon Metals LLC began operations in December 1996 with a single reverbatory furnace. In 1998, a second furnace was added to double our capacity. A third furnace was added in 2003 to assure consistent production capabilities to our customers. Today Audubon Metals LLC produces specification aluminum alloys such A380, 383, 384, and 390 in either molten, ingot or sow forms. A state-of-the-art warehouse system assures our customers the availability of just-in-time delivery of Audubon Metals high quality specification aluminum alloys.

Audubon Metals LLC, is a unique facility that is the only heavy-media separator and secondary specification aluminum alloy producer under one roof in the United States. In our estimation, from the time that an automobile is first shredded, to the time a new aluminum casting is shipped, an average of over 42 days have elapsed. In our system, automobile shredder residue (zorba) is processed, dried, melted, alloyed to customer specification, and delivered to diecasters throughout the Midwest in just a matter of days.
