Description

Auldern Academy knows that caring relationships have the power to educate and to heal. Our small, nurturing environment is designed to foster such relationships, and students can quickly develop healthy, lasting friendships with each other as well as supportive connections with our faculty and staff. The result is a warm, emotionally safe school environment that makes it easier for students to take risks and engage challenges with confidence. Students have the support system necessary to safely work through the challenges of friendships, family relationships, and academics. Our student program consists of three overlapping components, the Academic Program, the Counseling Services Program, and the Student Life Program. This tripartite program reflects our commitment to meeting the needs of the whole student respectively, their intellectual, emotional, and social needs. Since we are working with young women who are on the cusp of adulthood and independence, we have designed all program elements around the assumption that our students have enrolled at Auldern voluntarily. Being a part of the decision to attend Auldern Academy is a critical starting point for the work of vesting more responsibility with the student, and preparing her for future voluntary affiliations at college, in relationships and in the workplace.
