Austin Cancer Centers works as a team with the best pediatric medical oncologist at Dell Children’s Medical Center to provide coordinated cancer care for the pediatric population of Central Texas. As a team of pediatric oncologists, therapy is based according to and enrolled on national protocols and guidelines from the Children’s Oncology Group (COG). We have provided pediatric radiation oncology services for over 40 years in Austin. Our staff has intimate knowledge of the demands for assisting in the care of pediatric patients and their families working closely with DCMC.

We are able to personalize the radiation services for pediatric patients by a program developed to provide a creative personal art work based on patients input, to be employed on the patients treatment devices. This level of support illustrates our commitment to provide state of the art technology in a compassionate manner for these special pediatric patients.

If you decide to try supplementing your regimen with yoga, be sure to ask your instructors if they have any experience with breast cancer patients, and don’t be afraid to let them know if any poses are difficult for you. An experienced practitioner will be able to provide you with safer alternatives until you’re ready to take on the master poses yourself.
