Energetic self-starter wanted to lead the marketing efforts of a mid-sized general contractor headquartered in Austin. Must have experience with RFP/RFQ responses, be proficient in Adobe InDesign, and skilled with multi-tasking. This position reports directly to the executive team and handles all marketing duties for Austin, Houston and Dallas, including but not limited to proposal generation, production of collateral material, website and corporate blog updates, customer satisfaction surveys, event coordination, CRM software and PR coordination. Experience in the A/E/C industry is a must.

The Austin Chapter of the Associated General Contractors was founded in 1946 and is dedicated to the principles of Skill-Integrity-Responsibility. The Chapter provides services – including safety – to commercial construction firms working in the Austin area and is part of the AGC of America, the country’s largest and oldest construction association. Our members are proud to build Austin’s quality of life!

Every weekday between 60 and 100 plans are typically available for your use in our offices from 8:00am – 5pm. We provide a computer to view plans and specs from iSqFt (no subscription required; must come into the AGC office), fax machine, and free WiFi access for your laptop. Larger offices are available for private meetings.

We also support construction management students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. We provide industry speakers and financial support as available. In 2011, the Chapter has worked very closely with Texas States University students.
