Description
Over 33 years of professional foreign automotive experience in Stamford Connecticut. The first choice for service and sales for the foreign car enthusiast in Fairfield County Connecticut and Westchester County New York. AutoTech's Foreign Car and SUV Service Department About AutoTech Welcome to AutoTech Service, Lower Fairfield County's finest foreign car repair and service center. Located in Stamford, Connecticut, the shop is situated just down the street from route 95 and just 2 blocks away from the Stamford Metro North train station. AutoTech, (originally named A & T Auto Repair) was started in 1970, when Walter Fritz found a lack of qualified mechanics to service his German car in the New York metropolitan area. Making a career change, he formed a partnership with an existing repair facility in Stamford, CT and began to specialize in the repair and service of Volkswagen automobiles. Growing steadily over the years, A & T began to service different makes of imported cars and eventually began to buy and sell used vehicles. AutoTech's current owner, Walter Fritz, Jr.,began his automotive career at A & T, and quickly became an expert in foreign car diagnosis and repair. He has rebuilt countless engines and has since taken AutoTech into the computer age. The shop now has six bays and a staff of 17 people. The used car department has an extensive inventory of late model vehicles, all inspected by our service department. AutoTech is the only AAA certified service center in Stamford, CT and just one of a handful in lower Fairfield County. Their technicians are ASE certified as are their service consultants. They are an officially designated State of Connecticut Emission Repair Facility and a member of the Stamford Chamber of Commerce.
