AutoLign Manufacturing Group was formed in December 1998 from the joint acquisition of the Colonel's, a company long known for quality bumper fascia manufacturing, and AutoLign Associates, a small company in the automotive trim and restyling parts business. Early on, AutoLign targeted QS-9000 registration as the number one goal. The company achieved that goal in October 1999. AutoLign has grown internally and through acquisition, having purchased selected assets of Turbo Automotive and Perfect Plastics Industries, both bumper cover manufacturers, and Truck & Auto Imaging, a manufacturer of truck steps and airdams for pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles. AutoLign today is the largest independent aftermarket manufacturer of automotive bumper fascia in North America.
