Siriona S.A., founded in 2001 with funds mostly raised by the founders, is the editor of a programming platform for independent hotels and hotel room distributors. This platform allows them to perform the general transactions involved in commercialising rooms. It also handles a certain number of financial transactions automatically, many of which were previously extremely time-consuming. When optimised, such sales can be particularly complex and require the intervention of several different bodies and independent systems, making things particularly difficult for any hotelier who has not been trained to handle the latest technologies. Siriona S.A. currently proposes its most famous platform: availpro (www.availpro.com), not just a CRS and reservation interface for hotel websites, but also a way to simultaneously update hundreds of linked sites (distributors, directories, tourist offices, etc. Siriona S.A. has also developed a connectivity platform (www.xdcpro.com) exclusively for developers, which allows technical organisation of room distribution between different systems. In 2005, Siriona S.A. was awarded the "innovative business" label by OSE-ANVAR (the French innovation agency) and in 2006 SIPAREX, a major European investment fund, invested in the company.
