Cynthia Mejia, Owner Cynthia, along with her husband Dr. Mauricio Mejia, opened Avanti Skin Center of Denver in 2007. She manages Avanti, overseeing all of the day-to-day operations. With six years of experience in health care, Cynthia founded Avanti because she wanted "to improve people's self-esteem, to help match their outside beauty with their inside beauty." Born and raised in Dallas, Cynthia received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is certified in Cutera (which is the manufacturer of our laser equipment) and the Image Skincare line. She's also received a Laser Safety Certification and is a member of the Aesthetics Procedures Institute.

Image Skincare is dedicated to offering safe products without the use of chemical preservatives like parabens. The use of parabens as preservatives in cosmetics is controversial. There are clinical studies suggesting that parabens have potential health risks, including estrogen activity. Image Skincare is one of the first skincare companies that started to remove parabens from its product line beginning in early 2007.

Jackie, Registered Nurse Jackie is an accomplished Registered Nurse and Denver, Colorado native. She has been working the medical field for over a decade and has been nursing since 2006. Not only does Jackie have an extensive nursing background in aesthetics, but also has experience in psychiatry, long term care settings and healthcare management.
