Description

Central Dakota Nursing Home was founded in 1962 through the efforts of many in the local community who saw a need for a facility to provide care for aging and disabled individuals in a Christian environment. For many years our facility was owned and operated by Lutheran Hospitals and Homes Society of Fargo, North Dakota, later known as Lutheran Health Systems. With the construction of the Heritage Center of Jamestown, a complex of independent living apartments for older adults, on our property in 1991, Central Dakota Nursing Home became Central Dakota Village. In the late 1990s, CDV and all other Lutheran Health Systems properties in North Dakota became a part of Banner Health of Phoenix, Arizona. In 2008, CDV because Ave Maria Village.

We continue to provide long-term and end-of-life care to our residents. In addition, we have remodeled ten of our rooms to become rehabilitation suites. Following surgery or a short-term hospital stay, individuals often need a longer period of recuperation and rehabilitation prior to returning to their own home or a lower level of care. These suites provide a much-needed service to our local community and surrounding area.
