About the CEO: Mike Herbert 42, worked as a commercial fisherman from 1985-1996, more specifically, he operated and maintained CAT marine engines on commercial purse seiners out of the Port Hueneme, CA Commercial Harbor under the Captain Neil Guglielmo. After retiring from Commercial Fishing on 1996, Mike started pursuing a career in technology. The work made sense, it was easy for him; it was just like working with engines and advanced hydraulic systems that were present in the commercial fishing industry. After becoming a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer in late 1999, Mike took a job with a Small Business Network Consulting company. As the lead IT Solution Designer, he eventually became the lead Sales Engineer for Gateway Corporation by handing all the Small Business Sales for the Gateway Country Stores in Southern California from 1999-2002 During the time working with the Gateway Stores Mike saw the need for a company that really took the time to be a part of a small business, to learn everything about how a small business operates and how to properly fill the need. Access Computer Systems Corporation was officially created in April 2002 and Mike Herbert has been helping manage small business IT needs ever since.
