Description
The FHC follows evidenced based guidelines in Adult and Pediatric Preventive Care. We provide Medicare Wellness visits, Well Woman Care, Adult Wellness visits and Well Child visits. Preventative services available include: vaccinations, bone density, PAP tests, and screening for: diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, depression, and dementia. Appropriate referrals are provided for preventative services not available within our practice. .
The Family Health Centers created a Patient Advisory Council to improve the care we provide our patients and their families. The voluntary Council is made up of eight patients, our Physician Champion, Dr. Wendy Coin, Project Leader, the CEO, Terry McLane, Project Coordinator, Assistant to the CEO, Gayle Connell, and the three office supervisors, Diana Fisher (Asheville), April Ballew, (Arden) and Jackie Plemmons (Hominy Valley).
