A Practical Health Physicist with 21 years of experience, NRRPT and ARRT registered. Documented supervision and training of up to 27 Radiation Safety Technicians annually, familiar with most office systems, professional Health Physics Program, and environmental monitoring programs. Security clearances were granted for the last 24 years, with several different agencies. Cited repeatedly for optimum productivity with minimal staffing. Familiar with the calibration and use of most RADIAC instruments and spectrometry equipment. Responsible for ensuring financial flow via generation and maintenance of tracking schedules. Also responsible for FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) compliance and the compliance with applicable laws governing contract administration. Maintains ongoing interactions with clients or clients ’ representatives providing necessary input during contract periods of performance and closeout. Excellent knowledge of radiation safety and fundamentals has been acquired through a combination of U.S. Navy training and onsite experience. Responsible for all company characterization, profiling, manifesting, labeling, packaging, and transportation for ultimate disposal of a wide variety of radioactive, mixed, and chemically hazardous waste materials. Duties require him to evaluate difficult waste streams, to recommend processing and disposal facilities as well as containers and transport modes.
