A.M. Best Company is a full-service credit rating organization dedicated to serving the financial services industries, including the banking and insurance sectors.

In 2003, Rita Waterman and Michelle Neely made a decision to build an insurance agency that places the insured at the center of all decisions. Rita and Michelle had previously worked together for 5 years. When the agency owner announced her upcoming retirement, they acted on their desire to build something better. After formally changing the name to Waterman-Neely Insurance Professionals, they started to build on the agency's previous 10 years in the community.

Certified Insurance Counselor Rita and her husband, Jim, raised their two boys in Chatham before moving to Springfield. Rita has worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years as a claims adjustor, customer service representative, agent and co-owner of an agency. She has belonged to several insurance organizations, and currently is a member of the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors. Being actively involved in church work, Rita & Jim enjoy retreats to Missouri for quiet time at a camping resort. Of course, her greatest pleasure comes in spoiling grandchildren.
