Company History Bobby Cain graduated from Purdue University in 1985. He started work at Biagi, Chance, Cummins, London, Titzer, Incorporated in Evansville, Indiana as an Electrical Engineer. Bobby worked under the direction of Fred T. Pendley, PE. Bruce Conen graduated from Purdue University in 1987. He started work at Biagi, Chance, Cummins, London, Titzer, Incorporated in Evansville, Indiana as a Mechanical Engineer. Bruce worked under the direction of Donald H. Austin, PE. While at Biagi, Chance, Cummins, London , Titzer, Incorporated, Bobby and Bruce were teamed together as the Electrical and Mechanical Engineers on numerous projects. They became very good friends. Some of the projects that they worked on were: Roberts Municipal Stadium Expansion and Renovation Southern Indiana Gas and Electric - Norman P. Wagner Operations Center University of Evansville - Carson Center Expansion and Renovation Parkview Hospital - Operating Rooms Addition (Fort Wayne, Indiana) On July 27, 1991 Bobby and Bruce both left Biagi, Chance, Cummins, London, Titzer, Incorporated Bobby went to work at Project Associates in Evansville, Indiana as an Electrical Engineer. Bruce went to work at Johnson Controls, Incorporated in Evansville, Indiana as an Application Engineer. While at Project Associates, Bobby worked on primarily industrial projects for Alcoa and Bristol-Myers Squibb. While at Johnson Controls, Incorporated, Bruce engineered all the temperature control systems installed from the Evansville Branch. Bruce later became the Team Leader for the Evansville Branch Installation Team. Bruce engineered and managed the installation of a Metasys direct digital control system in 23 schools for the Evansville-Vanderburgh School System. The control system was installed in during the summer of 1996. Bobby and Bruce remained close friends while Bobby was at Project Associates and Bruce was at Johnson Controls, Incorporated They always dreamed of owning their own Consulting Engineering Firm. Bobby had worked on a design / build project for Welborn Clinic with Rick Will of Mounts Electric. Rick Will liked the work that Bobby had done. In conversations with Rick Will, Bobby told him his dream of owning his own firm. There was another phase of work at Welborn Clinic coming up. Rick Will said that if Bobby was on his own, he would give him the job. So in January of 1996, Bobby left Project Associates and started B.C. Engineering, Incorporated He had one job on the books. His office was his maroon Chevy pickup truck and his office phone was his cell phone. About the same time that Bobby left Project Associates, the electrical engineer at Edmund L. Hafer, Architects quit. Don Austin was in charge of engineering. Don Austin contacted Bobby and subcontracted electrical work to him. Bobby had also developed contacts at Alcoa while working at Project Associates. Bobby was able to get a contract with Alcoa. Rick Will of Mounts Electric told Bobby that they had an area of offices in their building that they were not using. Bobby moved into the office space at Mounts Electric. This is the current location of B.C. Engineering. The B.C.
