We are especially proud of our "Green" initiatives , and are committed to helping our environment by offering a wide scope of eco-friendly alternatives. S. Walter is dedicated to providing our customers with Earth friendly products. We understand everyone’s desire to be environmentally aware, and we are determined to provide our customers with products that will adhere to anyone’s environmentally conscious aspirations.

As retail packaging experts, we know that there are laws and legislation that impact many of our customers across the country. We want to provide you with the choice to be as "green" as you want or need to be. That is why this year, we are showcasing a variety of compliant paper and plastic bags in addition to our traditional product offerings. For example, our new Eco Line of Kraft Serrated Edge Shopper (pictured above) is made of 100% recycled fibers and with at least 50% Post-Consumer content. This is a “greener” option compared to our traditional line of Kraft Serrated Edge Shoppers.

Founded in 1904 by prominent Philadelphia businessman Simon Walter, S. Walter Packaging started off simple by focusing on kraft paper bags and wrappings. Simon wasn’t just a Philadelphia businessman, but he also saw the importance of growth and innovation. He paved the way for the construction of one of the two main subway lines through the city of Philadelphia (the Broad Street Line), and was a prominent figure in local politics.
