About Baker Florists & Greenhouses The Company was founded by Rick Baker's Grandparents, Roy and Hazel Baker, in downtown Dover in 1924. It was moved to its present location at 1616 N Walnut Street two years later.Rick and Karon Baker met as students at Ohio State University and began working at Baker Florist in 1972. They purchased the business in 1978 From Rick's parents, Dick and June Baker, who had operated it since 1958. Baker Florists & Greenhouses holiday hours To help assure on-time delivery during the busy holiday season, place your order at least one day prior to the following major holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Valentine's Day, Easter, Administrative Professionals Week, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, Independence Day and Labor Day.
