Ballard Optical is a locally owned and operated eye care facility located in Seattle, Washington. Our office is dedicated to providing excellence in patient care, clinical education, and optical services. Our doctors are well trained in clinical eye care involving eye and vision disorders. We provide the highest quality lenses, frames and contact lenses to solve the vision needs of our patients.

Dr. Schneider received residency training in all types of specialty and conventional contact lenses. We prescribe and evaluate all major brands of soft, rigid, and hybrid contact lenses including conventional and disposable lens designs. Additionally, we prescribe custom designed contact lenses for medical needs as well as special eye problems. Specialized fitting may include: monovision, bifocal contact lenses, astigmatism contacts and keratoconus. We have experience in modifying and polishing contacts.

Dr. Schneider and his lovely wife have two boys ages 4 and 6 months. He speaks fluent Spanish and has been involved in Hispanic outreach clinics and eye care for the last several years. Dr. Schneider is committed to continue the tradition of outstanding patient care and personal attention Dr. Kimpton and the wonderful staff at Ballard Optical have provided their patients for over 30 years.
