Balzer, Incorporated of Mountain Lake, Minnesota, USA is the leading manufacturer and distributor of livestock manure and municipal waste handling equipment products, Large Capacity Grain Carts, and Flail Shredders in the United States. Balzer, Incorporated was founded in the late 1940’s by Abe Balzer in Mountain Lake, MN and operated on a regional basis manufacturing a variety of farm related equipment products. Balzer was purchased in 1976 by an investor group from nearby Mankato, MN. In 1995, Balzer was sold to a few management employees with a total of over 60 years experience in the industry. Today Balzer is still a privately held corporation. Balzer manufactures and markets three product lines: Liquid Manure-Nutrient/Waste Handling Equipment, Large Capacity Grain Carts, and Flail Shredders/Choppers. The Liquid Manure-Nutrient/Waste Handling Equipment products include vacuum and top fill tank trailers in sizes from 800 to 12,000 gallons; horizontal and vertical slurry pumps for agitating and filling; a variety of tank injectors to fit individual producer application needs; lagoon pumps and prop agitators; and a complete line of direct injection (drag hose) equipment. The Large Capacity Grain Carts, Field Floater III, are available in three sizes: 1325, 1550, and 2000 bushels (36, 42, and 54 metric tons) capacity. These carts feature the industries fastest unload rate of 1090 bushels per minute (65,400 lbs./minute or 29727 kg/minute), patented steerable axle system, excellent floatation, and an independent undercarriage capable of carrying these massive loads in all kinds of field conditions. The 2000 bushel grain cart is also an industry first and largest capacity grain cart today capable of loading two (2) semi trailers.
