Band From TV release Hoggin' All the Covers, Vol. 2 Generosity Records Founder & CEO, Kurt Benjamin is pleased to announce the signing of a new Distribution and Marketing agreement for the Label’s artist, the BAND FROM TV. Effective immediately, MDI Distribution will be handling Digital and Physical distribution and Licensing; and Rock ‘n Retail, LLC/Web ‘n Retail will be handling Sponsorships; digital and physical marketing, and promotions in the United States, Japan and Canada. International markets are now under Distribution agreement with Warner Bros. The Band From TV, CD and DVD includes a powerhouse of well-known and acclaimed actors including: Greg Grunberg (drums), a veteran of shows such as ALIAS, FELICITY and HEROES and stars in the upcoming NBC show LOVE BITES; Hugh Laurie (keyboards), currently starring in the FOX hit HOUSE; James Denton (guitar), currently starring in the ABC hit DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES; Bob Guiney (vocals) who appeared on THE BACHELOR and is currently host of TLC’s DATE MY HOUSE and Bonnie Somerville (vocals), who appeared on CASHMERE MAFIA and most recently starred in the movie THE UGLY TRUTH. Rounding out the band are accomplished musicians Rich Winer, Chris Kelley, Barry Sarna and child-star turned bass player Brad Savage. Their debut CD/DVD release “Hoggin’ All the Covers” enjoyed a limited test release exclusively on Amazon.com last year. Per Kurt Benjamin, “The success of the release and the amazing reaction to the band at live events; coupled with the charitable donations to 12 charities were so well received that we are now ready to roll the project out domestically and internationally. We strongly believe that the team of MDI Distribution & Rock ‘n Retail/Web ‘n Retail bring the entrepreneurial spirit, “never quit” attitude and proven ability to work closely together to implement both physical and digital campaigns, is the perfect fit for this “not your every day band” project.” The Band From TV DVD was shot in front of a live audience in Hi-Def and 5.1 digital surround sound. It includes behind-the scenes footage at rehearsals, band interviews, candid interaction, information on the vast array of charities who will benefit from the sales, the pranks and practical jokes that took place during the filming, and of course the live performances of many Classic Rock favorites. The CD and DVD feature classics: “Goodnight Irene”, “Viva Las Vegas”, “Piece of My Heart”, “You Really Got Me”, “Will It Go ‘Round in Circles”, “Feelin’ Alright”, “Pink Cadillac”, “Lean On Me”, “Hard to Handle”, “The Letter”, “Papa Loved Mama”, “Mustang Sally” and “Shake Your Tail Feather”. The Band From TV release “Hoggin’ All the Covers, Vol. 2” is scheduled for a new release date with newly packaged separated HD-DVD and CD on November 9, 2010. MDI Distribution will handle all licensing for cable/television/ satellite for the approximately 44 hours of footage available. Rock ‘n Retail will handle sponsorship sales, premium sales and promotions. Web ‘n Retail will handle online and viral Marketing, promotions and publicity.
