Awards & Recognitions In April of 2000, B&OI was honored with the Steelcase Exemplary Performance Award. This award, based on the Malcom Baldridge Award criteria, requires documented performance relative to eight critical standards including: leadership, planning, human resource, customer focus and quality management, market position, financial management, business performance, and service capacity Completion of a rigorous thirty-page standards assessment and a three-day site visit are used as basis for judging the final recipients. The site visit team typically includes: a member of Steelcase senior management, a Steelcase Dealer Business Consultant, and two principals of highly regarded dealerships.
