Description
In business for 20 years, family owned and operated, Bar Stools Plus is the ideal source for both the club and restaurant trade as well as for those who are in the process of remodeling their den or game room. We furnish bar stools for many of the local churches, beauty salons and spas, as well as the suites at Texas Motor Speedway. Our business began over 20 years ago, and was founded by Fort Worth entrepreneur Jack Mayfield. Former owner of The Bar Mart, Club Specialties, and several Restaurants and Clubs in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, Jack found a need that no one else had discovered. He began his company with three employees. He specialized in custom restaurant furniture to suit the needs of his customer. Whether the need was for hot pink and tangerine painted outdoor furniture for a local restaurant, or for a Nascar themed tapestry upholstered bar stool for the Texas Motor Speedway, Jack had a nack for delivering the perfect product for his customers. His motto was "Quality workmanship at affordable prices". This picture of Dad to the right was taken in July, 2005. He passed away in October, 2005 after having a stroke. He stopped taking his medication because he thought it was causing some uncomfortable side-affects. Please, please be sure to consult your doctor before doing this. I believe strongly that this is why he had the stroke. Although he is gone in spirit, we all feel his presence each day, especially when we run across various notes he has scribbled inside a file or on a vendor's business card. And, we get a special heartwarming feeling when we mysteriously find pennies in the warehouse. We call them "Pennies from Heaven", and they remind us that Jack is and always will be with us. In 2004, Jack turned the business over to his daughter, Vicki Duval, and her husband, Michael. Vicki was a programmer at Frito-Lay and worked in Plano at the headquarters. Michael was head of the Civil Engineering department for Walter P. Moore. We found the perfect employees to help run the business efficiently and professionally. And, as you can see from the faces below, we have a lot of fun, too. We are proud to continue to be a success in the furniture industry.
