Every day this week, I have continued to paint or sketch as per one of my goals of doing so every day in 2010 … but this week I have also been researching painting on fabrics … eventually, I want to create some hand painted silk scarves to sell on Etsy and possibly locally. I already have the Derwent Inktense pencils that I plan to use for fabric painting. I do not have any fabric medium or textile medium or whatever it may be called. NO silk … they have a 100% polyester they call silkie-something … but it’s not silk. I did not find any fabric medium in the store either but that could be because I was looking in the wrong place … who knows. I did take my pencils and paint on a pair of white capri slacks … 100% COTTON .. the design bled a bit with the water on the fabric but that is okay. I am waiting for it to dry …. then I will wash them to see if the design / paint washes away … maybe tomorrow … maybe next week … Painted Palm Tree on Fabric Before Washing
