Barclay College is a small, private Christian college. It is an interdenominational school founded by the Friends Church, where there is a focus on "... Preparing students in a Bible-centered environment for effective Christian life, service and leadership." Our degree programs include Bachelor degrees in Youth Ministry, Pastoral Ministry, Music Ministry, Bible/Theology, Missions, Psychology/Family Counseling, Missions: Bi-Vocational, Christian School Elementary Education, and Business Administration. With a student to faculty ratio of 11:1 it is very easy to get one-on-one attention from your professors. Barclay has a student body of just over 100, so unlike bigger schools you are an individual and a name, not just a number.Our faculty expect quality from our students and are available to help each student achieve quality. Many have been in their field of study and are not just teaching from a teacher's perspective but from experience. Professors at Barclay genuinely care about their students and spend time with their students outside of the classroom not because they have to, but because they want to. This is very rare in colleges and universities.We believe that all these aspects make Barclay stand out as a college. Haviland is a small town and often becomes a place where students can come and truly find God. The distractions of city life are not present and there is time to seek God and grow in your daily walk with Him. Stretching and growing spiritually, happen on a daily basis as a student at Barclay partakes in classes, chapel services, extra-curricular activities, and "student life".
