Mr. McNabb is an adviser for Barrera & Company with more than 35 years of experience in the construction industry. Prior to joining Barrera, he was involved in the development of solar projects as the CEO of MicroGrid Energy Corp. Mr. McNabb also served as president and CEO of Peterson Brothers Construction (PBC), where he helped transition the company from a local concrete contractor to a $100 million group of companies serving the commercial and residential subdivision needs of the Southwest.

Barrera and Company is a family owned and managed firm specializing in Reserve Studies and Construction Management. Over the last 30 years we’ve prepared more than 20,000 Reserve Studies – helping thousands of clients across the county anticipate and prepare for their property’s major repair and replacement costs. We also offer Construction Management Services to that help our clients save valuable time and money in the construction and reconstruction process.

Damian Esparza currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Barrera and Company, working with the company since 2001. Mr. Esparza is also Founder of SmartProperty.com . He is a member of Community Associations Institute (CAI) and California Association of Community Managers (CACM) and has developed presentations for CACM on How to Develop Smarter Reserve Plans and Utilizing Reserves to Develop Sustainable Strategies. Mr. Esparza previously served on the CACM Affiliate Council Committee and San Diego Chapter of the California Legislative Action Committee for CAI.

In 2001, Damian Esparza joined the Company and began working with Chris Sanders. Together, they have successfully expanded the business into new markets and continually invest in the quality of the reserve study experience. For example, Barrera was the first reserve study company to develop web-based software, enabling clients to develop reserve budgets in real time, at any time, any place.
