Description

Greg Barreto founded Barreto Manufacturing in 1983. The company?s first product was an all-hydraulic tiller, which Greg developed while working at a rental yard during his college years. Since belts, chains and gears were the tiller parts most often needing repair, Barreto decided if he could develop a product without those mechanical components, it would require less maintenance. Since that first tiller (which is still in service today), Barreto Manufacturing has grown substantially, adding new products and finding innovative ways to improve existing products. In 1997, Barreto?s hydraulic tiller was named ?Best New Product of the Year? by the Hire Association of Europe. The company is headquartered in La Grande, Oregon, with five warehouses to handle fabrication, manufacturing and office needs.
