Description
This year the WBCA inaugurates a new award, the Ethics in Coaching Award. The award will go to someone who displays respect, character, integrity, and class. The WBCA could not be prouder than to present this award to two outstanding coaches, John Feldner and Jack Friess. Both of these men have been coaching for over 30 years. John and Jack have been great role models for not only the players they coach, but for other coaches as well. They define what is good about coaching. The WBCA is honored to present them with our first “Ethics in Coaching Award”.
Gary Koy has been umpiring and officiating baseball, softball, basketball, and football for 35 years. He has umpired in State Tournaments for both baseball and softball. He has worked Sectionals in baseball and softball for over 30 years. Gary has been an active member of the Central Wisconsin Officials Association for 35 years, including a term as president. Gary’s commitment to high school athletics makes him a deserving recipient of the Ken Kirby Umpire of the Year Award.
