On April 1st, 1982 we opened the first Basket Tree florist. Three years later, a second shop opened in a 100 year old building in historic downtown Apex, North Carolina. We will soon celebrate our 20th anniversary in this location, making us the oldest continuously owned florist in the Apex area. As a family owned and operated business, our children grew up in the stores. On any given day, you could find all of us behind the counter. As our children left home, they were replaced by Matthias and Neptune - our four-legged children. The boys come to work with us everyday and participate in the business as our greeters, delivery help, and mascots. We offer a wide array of fresh flowers, green plants, dish gardens, and gourmet baskets. Our access to international markets allow us to offer the largest selection of traditional and exotic plants and flowers in the Apex, Holly Springs, Cary, Morrisville, RTP, and Raleigh areas.
