Description

David Bate was born in Summit, New Jersey in 1959. He graduated from Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland. Two years later, he fulfilled a lifelong dream moving to Maine with Barbara, his wife. In 1988, David received his Masters degree in English Literature from the University of Maine and entered Boston College Law School that fall. In 1991, he received his law degree from Boston College. David spent his third year of law school at the University of Maine School of Law in Portland. David clerked at the United States District Court in Bangor, where he worked for Magistrate-Judge Eugene Beaulieu and District Court Judge Morton Brody. David then worked for Preti, Flaherty, a large law firm with an office in Augusta. Since 1994, David has practiced law in Bangor, representing injured clients, accident victims, and persons charged with criminal violations. David's office is on the 3rd Floor, 15 Columbia Street in Bangor, across from the Penobscot County Superior Court and the Bangor District Court. Out of the office, David and his family enjoy the State of Maine: fishing, boating, mountain biking and hiking.
