Batten & Shaw was founded in 1988 as a general contracting/construction management firm. Today, over 90% of our work is with repeat customers that have been consistently pleased with our performance. We work hard to understand and meet the needs of the owner.

Batten & Shaw is a full service construction management firm. The expertise of the company is healthcare and commercial construction including complex multi-phased projects, renovations and expansions, and ground-up construction of new facilities.

Batten & Shaw is extremely proud of this award-winning renovation project in historic Franklin, Tennessee. The project consisted of a 9,800 SF addition and completely restoring the 1938 structure to its original condition, which totals 28,000 SF. The project has received National Recognition as a state-of-the-art Historic Theatre Preservation project and has been marked as a historical site within the State of Tennessee. The project has many special features which include live television feed capabilities for concerts, a movie cinema and a stage for live shows/plays.

Jimmy Batten and Danny Shaw originally met in the early 1980’s while working on a healthcare construction project in Hobbs, New Mexico. The two forged a close friendship and envisioned starting a business together that would stand alone in quality, excellence and integrity within the healthcare construction industry. Shortly thereafter, Batten & Shaw was founded in 1988 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Wayne joins Batten & Shaw as a superintendent. He has many years of experience in healthcare, assisted living, and other commercial projects. Wayne and his family live in Ogden, Utah and will be a part of our Salt Lake City team. Welcome Wayne!
