The Dieckmann .50 caliber semi automatic rifle. The rifle was designed and manufactured by Ralf E. Dieckmann in the time period of 1993 to 1994 in Phoenix and Prescott, Arizona. The rifle was designed along the lines of a typical Assault Rifle scaled up to accommodate the .50 caliber Browning cartridge. The breech mechanism consists of a vertically locking and horizontally reciprocating wedge type breech block. It is driven by a novel “floating” gas system and returned to battery by dual extension springs. The rifle utilizes a 10-shot Barrett magazine. The overall length is 56 ¼”.
