We invest in companies at all stages of growth from seed to later stage and tech buyouts. Our investments range from $5 million to $25 million over the life of the investment and we focus on market sectors where we have the experience and knowledge to help build category-defining companies. These markets include infrastructure technologies such as cable infrastructure, network & wireless infrastructure, security software & services and computing & storage infrastructure; application software; communications services; e-commerce products & services; tech enabled businesses; semiconductor & related products; media & content and consumer technology. Additionally, emerging market sectors in which we have a developing interest include the energy, materials and tech-enabled business services markets.Battery’s investment methodology has been developed and refined over the last 20 years. To help us find the best and brightest entrepreneurs and the most promising companies, we blend strong research skills with proactive deal generation techniques. With over 180 investment transactions in our history, we are experienced in virtually any business model from software/hardware models to ASP models, recurring service revenue models, consumer models, and semiconductor models. We are also well versed in working with management teams that require sophisticated deal structures beyond the traditional Series A, B, or C venture deal. Battery has a history in leveraged buyout transactions, PIPES, spin outs and take privates.
